Hello, my name is Cassandra Chase and I Birth & Postpartum Doula, Placenta Specialist, PAIL Advocate (Pregnancy and Infant Loss), Lactation Consultant Student, Crochet Artist and Candle Maker. To learn more about what a doula does and learn more about the Roots of Labor Birth Collective click "Doula Info" below.
I believe birthing people should be able to birth where ever they feel most comfortable with whomever they like in the room. Birthing is such a sacred moment in a families life and I would love to be your guide throughout the process. Continuous labor support, comfort techniques, and prenatal and postpartum education is just the beginning of the care you will receive. I'm also here for emotional support, to discuss concerns, fears, affirm family members and be a listening ear. Ensuring that the birthing person has an memorable birth is my intention.
When I am not attending births and supporting families, I am either making soy candles or crocheting baby and placenta sets. On Mondays I volunteer my time at Santa Rita Jail supporting incarcerated pregnant folks during their pregnancy and potentially their birth. Besides being a certified doula, I also attended culinary school to enhance my cooking talents. I love creating things with my hands, especially foods that are comforting and nourishing. I am also trained to encapsulate placentas which has been such a spiritual and loving process for me. I am currently finishing up my prerequisites so I can become a Lactation Consultant and Im also studying to get my degree in Psychology so I can support families around postpartum depression.
On call 24 hours for doula clients ........................ Available to answer question from 9am-9pm
